Mark Blencoe joined SVG Advisers in 2005 and is Head of Fund Accounting. Prior to this, he worked at JPMorgan Private Bank for an international trust accounting department. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Natal, South Africa, a postgraduate Diploma in Applied Accountancy from the University of Zimbabwe and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Matthew Rowe joined SVG Advisers in 2007 and works on the analysis and reporting of SVG’s portfolio of private equity funds. Prior to joining SVG, he worked at IBM as an Industrial Trainee and has worked in a number of contract positions within accounts and administration since graduating from University. He has a BA Hons in Business Studies from Bournemouth University.

Max Darque joined SVG Advisers in 2011 and works within the Financial Operations team on financial modelling. Prior to this he was a software engineer for Logica and worked on an encryption system for the European Space Agency’s Galileo satellites. He has a MEng in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Bristol.

Mercy Koko-Snuggs joined SVG Advisers as an Investor Relations Analyst in 2010. Prior to joining, she worked at J O Hambro Investment Management where she was responsible for supporting the Head of Sales. Mercy holds a degree in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Mervyn Douglas joined SVG in 2011 as an Investment Advisor. Prior to joining, he was a fund manager at Aviva Investors where he was responsible for the management of over £2bn of UK Equities and the UK research analysts. Previously he was a UK equities fund manager at Legal & General and Schroder Investment Management. Mervyn achieved his AIIMR qualification and has a degree in Law from Nottingham University.

Michael Roth joined SVG Advisers in Boston in 2007 and works on the analysis and due diligence of US private equity opportunities. While a student at Boston College, Michael gained experience through an internship with Mutual of America Capital Management. Michael has a BA in Economics from Boston College.

Natalie Bangay joined SVG Advisers in 2005 and works within the private equity fund of funds team. Prior to joining SVG, Natalie worked at Corven on a range of consulting and corporate finance projects including an acquisition for the in-house ventures arm. She also worked as a consultant at Andersen, and subsequently at Deloitte & Touche. She has a degree in Geography from Oxford University and is a Chartered Accountant.

Nigel Whitlock-James joined SVG Advisers in 2010 as IT Technical Specialist, responsible for SVG’s IT infrastructure. Prior to joining SVG Advisers, he ran his own IT Consultancy firm; specialising in the design, deployment, management and support of IT systems’ software and hardware. Nigel holds a BA Hons in Leisure and Business Studies from De Montfort University.

Owen James joined SVG Advisers in 2007 and works on the analysis and due diligence of all European private equity investment opportunities. Prior to joining SVG, he worked at HBOS where he spent two years in Leveraged Finance, working on the origination and execution of UK mid-market private equity deals. Owen is a Chartered Accountant, having qualified at PwC where he gained experience in Corporate Tax and Corporate Recovery. He has a degree in Social Sciences from Durham University where he studied Economics and Philosophy.

Rebecca Hughes joined SVG Advisers in 2005 and is part of the investor relations and corporate communications team. Prior to joining SVG, she was Head of Client Services at Global IR. She also worked at Taylor Rafferty, a leading IR consultancy where she managed a wide variety of investor programs for publicly quoted companies. She has a degree in Politics and International Relations from UWE, Bristol.
